A History of Fashion in 100 Objects

Are you, like us, busy planning things to do and places to visit this New Year?  It’s always good to have a few options in mind, even if you’ve not actually booked anything!

We have a soft spot for the Cotswolds and when we’re down there we particularly love a visit to the Georgian jewel of Bath.  We are delighted to see that the Museum of Fashion in Bath has a great exhibition running all year called ‘A History of Fashion in 100 Objects’.  It sounds perfect; not too big, and not too small, just the kind of thing that can easily be incorporated into a shopping and coffee expedition!  Here’s what they say about it in their own words…

A History of Fashion in 100 objects is a major exhibition celebrating fashion from the 1600s to the present day. Showcasing 100 star objects drawn from the Fashion Museum’s world-class collection, these displays give visitors an instant insight into the era-defining outfits and headline pieces that have shaped our wardrobes over the past 400 years.

We’re planning to pay a visit at some point (in our Lily Ella finery), if you make it there before us, let us know what you think!
