Tripping the light fantastic at Christmas

We’ve watched with delight over the last few years at the proliferation of Christmas ice rinks that have popped up all over the UK.  They’re such fun for all ages to enjoy and they usually stay open right into the New Year so they can still be enjoyed after the rest of the festivities have drawn to a close. 

London is particularly blessed with a fantastic choice of places to skate. We know people who swear by the rink in the idyllic setting outside Somerset House and others who insist that Hyde Park is the place to be.  However, we have it on good authority that Hampton Court Palace’s ice rink is a particularly lovely one which to take a whirl –  or a tumble!   We hope you have a magical ice rink near you and when you go, don’t forget to wrap up warm and cosy in a Lily Ella coat or jacket!
